How to switch between companies in the Client Portal

If your service provider manages more than one of your companies in Uku — or if you work with multiple firms that each use Uku — you will have access to more than one company in the Client Portal. Each company is completely separate: its own tasks, documents, and invoices.

Any Client Portal user whose email address is associated with contacts at more than one company that has the portal enabled. You will only see companies where your service provider has granted you portal access.

  1. Log in to your Client Portal.
  2. In the toolbar, click your profile avatar and company name. A dropdown menu appears showing your current company and all other companies you can access.
  3. Click the name of a different company to switch to it.
  4. The portal reloads showing that company’s tasks, documents, and other data.

When you switch companies, everything you see — tasks, signing requests, documents, messages — belongs to that company only. Your service provider’s contact for that company may be a different team member than the one you communicate with for your other company.

Settings like your language, timezone, and notification preferences apply to your account globally, not per company.

The same account menu (your profile avatar and company name) also shows a Log out option. Clicking it signs you out of the portal entirely across all companies.

I only see one company but expected to see more

Each company must independently have the Client Portal enabled and your contact must have portal access granted for that specific company. If a company is missing from your list, contact the relevant service provider and ask them to activate your portal access for that company.

The account menu is accessed via your profile avatar and company name in the portal toolbar. On mobile, it may appear as a smaller icon. If you still cannot find it, try refreshing the page.

Try refreshing the page after switching. If the error persists, log out and log back in using a fresh magic link. If it still fails, contact your service provider for that company.

I am receiving notifications from a company I no longer work with

Contact the service provider for that company and ask them to remove your portal access. You do not have a way to remove access yourself.
