How to use bookmarks

Bookmarks let you save your favourite filter combinations, column layouts, sort settings, and grouping configurations so you can return to any view with a single click. Instead of reconfiguring the same filters every morning, save your view as a bookmark and jump straight to the data you need.

  • All Company Members can create, edit, and delete their own bookmarks.
  • Bookmarks are personal — each member manages their own set and cannot see other members’ bookmarks.

A bookmark captures the full state of a view at the moment you save it:

  • Active filters — date range, member, client, topic, status, and any custom field filters
  • Visible columns — which columns are shown or hidden via the Properties menu
  • Sort order — the column and direction you are sorting by
  • Grouping — the active grouping configuration (e.g., by Client or Topic)
  • Tab selection — which tab is active within the view (e.g., Summary vs Tasks in Reports)
  1. Navigate to any view that supports bookmarks (Dashboard, Calendar, Reports, Clients, Projects, Billing, Monitoring, and others).
  2. Configure the view — apply filters, show/hide columns, set sorting and grouping.
  3. Click the Save bookmark button (disk icon) in the toolbar filter bar.
  4. In the dialog, choose Add new.
  5. Enter a Title for the bookmark.
  6. Select the Account the bookmark belongs to (your personal account is selected by default).
  7. Optionally tick Set as my default view to make this bookmark load automatically when you open this page.
  8. Click Save.

Hover over any navigation item in the left sidebar (for example, Clients or Reports). A dropdown appears listing all bookmarks saved for that view. Click a bookmark to load it instantly. The currently active bookmark is shown in bold.

If you have set a bookmark as your default view, it loads automatically each time you navigate to that page. Default bookmarks are marked with a # symbol in the list.

  1. Set up the view with the updated filters and settings.
  2. Click the Save bookmark button in the toolbar.
  3. Choose Change existing in the dialog.
  4. Select the bookmark to update from the Choose bookmark dropdown.
  5. Optionally change the title.
  6. Click Save. The bookmark now reflects your current view.
  1. Hover over the navigation item in the sidebar to open the bookmark dropdown.
  2. Hover over the bookmark you want to remove — a delete action appears.
  3. Confirm the deletion.

Bookmarks are available on all major list and report views: Dashboard, Calendar, Reports, BI Analytics, Monitoring, Billing, Clients, Suppliers, Projects, Members, and Unbilled work. Each view has its own separate set of bookmarks.

  • Use descriptive names — “Active clients — this month” is more useful than “Bookmark 1”.
  • Set your most-used view as a default bookmark so you skip setup every time you open the page.
  • Each view can have only one default bookmark. Setting a new default replaces the previous one.
  • Default bookmark preferences are stored in your browser’s local storage — if you clear browser data or switch browsers, you will need to set your defaults again. The bookmarks themselves are saved on the server and will still be available.

Look for the disk icon in the filter bar at the top of the view. If it is not visible, the current view may not support bookmarks, or try expanding the filter bar.

The bookmark saves the state at the time of creation. If filters were changed after saving, the bookmark still reflects the original saved state. Update the bookmark by choosing Change existing.

Bookmarks are personal. Each member sees only their own bookmarks. There is no sharing mechanism between members.
