How to effectively use your dashboard?
The Dashboard is your central hub for managing accounting tasks. With a few consistent habits, you can ensure no deadline is missed and every workday runs smoothly.
Who can do this
Section titled “Who can do this”- All Uku team members with tasks assigned on their dashboard.
Daily dashboard habits
Section titled “Daily dashboard habits”- Review the tasks on your Dashboard each morning to ensure everything is captured. When all tasks are in one place, planning your day becomes easier.
- Be realistic with your daily plan. Unrealistic planning creates unnecessary stress. Confirm your workload is manageable before starting.
- Postpone tasks that do not fit into your daily schedule to a more suitable date. This keeps your Dashboard clean and your planned work accurate.
- Prioritize by flagging important tasks (flag icon) so they stand out on your Dashboard.
How topics help you stay organized
Section titled “How topics help you stay organized”Topics let you group related tasks together. For example, if you need to send invoice reminders to all clients on the 5th of every month, grouping these tasks by the same topic lets you work through them as a batch instead of handling each client separately.
Topics also help with reporting. By tagging tasks with a topic such as “Payments” across different periods and team members, you can see the total time spent on that work type in the Report view.
Why use estimated time?
Section titled “Why use estimated time?”You can track time on tasks manually or by using the timer. By adding time estimates to tasks, you get a clear overview of how long each task is expected to take. Estimations also appear in the Calendar, making daily planning more accurate.
In your company settings, you can configure Uku to use the estimated time as the recorded time when marking a task as done, in cases where no exact time has been entered.
