How to log in to the Client Portal

Your accounting or bookkeeping firm uses Uku to manage the work they do for you. They have set up a Client Portal — a private, branded website where you can view tasks, upload documents, and communicate with your firm. This article explains how to sign in.

Any person (contact) whose service provider has granted them Client Portal access. If you are not sure whether you have access, contact your service provider directly.

Your service provider shared a portal URL with you — it looks like https://yourfirmname.getuku.com. Open that URL in a web browser. You will see your firm’s branded login page.

If you do not have the URL, ask your service provider. Each firm’s portal has a unique address.

Section titled “Step 2: Enter your email and request a link”
  1. On the login page, type your email address into the Your e-mail field.
  2. Click Log in.
  3. Uku sends an email to that address containing your login link.

Use the email address your service provider has on file for you. If you are unsure which email they have, contact them to confirm.

  1. Open your email inbox.
  2. Find the email from your service provider’s portal. Check your spam or junk folder if it does not arrive within a few minutes.
  3. Click the login link inside the email.
  4. Your browser opens and you are signed in to the portal automatically.

The link is valid for 7 days from when it was sent. If you request a new link before the first one expires, the old link is no longer valid — only the most recently requested link works.

You land on your personal dashboard, which shows your current tasks, any signing requests that need your attention, and completed work. From here you can view tasks, send messages, upload files, and manage your account settings.

You do not need to log in every time you click a task link in an email notification — those links sign you in directly.

The link has passed its 7-day validity window, or you already used it and requested a new one since. Go back to the portal login page, enter your email again, and click Log in to receive a fresh link.

Your service provider may not have fully set up your portal access yet, or your access may have been temporarily deactivated. Contact your service provider directly and ask them to check your portal access status.

First, check your spam or junk folder. Emails can occasionally be filtered. If there is nothing there after a few minutes, confirm with your service provider that they have the correct email address for you on file. Then try the login page again.

Ask your service provider for the Client Portal URL. They may have sent it in a welcome email. It follows the format https://firmname.getuku.com where “firmname” is the subdomain your firm chose.
