Dashboard Later and Catch up tabs

Your Dashboard has three tabs — Tasks, Later, and Catch up — each serving a different purpose. Tasks is your main working view. Later is for parking tasks you want out of the way but not forgotten. Catch up is for tasks with unread messages or comments.

  • All Company Members can use all three Dashboard tabs.

The Later tab holds tasks you have deliberately set aside — tasks that need doing but not right now. Moving a task to Later removes it from your main Tasks view and parks it until you bring it back.

  • Right-click the task (or use the row menu) and select Later. The task disappears from the Tasks tab and appears in the Later tab with no specific return date.
  • To move multiple tasks at once: hold Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) to reveal selection checkboxes, select multiple tasks, and click Postpone in the bulk action bar.
  1. Open the Later tab.
  2. Right-click the task (or use the row menu) and select a return date: Tomorrow, Later this week, Next week, or a custom date and time.
  3. The task reappears on your Tasks tab when that date arrives.

The Later tab is useful for parking low-priority tasks, tasks waiting on a third party, or anything you want out of sight but not forgotten. When the Later tab is empty, it shows a relaxed illustration confirming nothing is parked.

The Catch up tab surfaces tasks that have new activity you have not seen yet — specifically, tasks with unread comments or unread Client Portal messages.

A small colored dot appears next to the Catch up tab name whenever there are items waiting. Clicking the tab clears the indicator and shows all tasks with unread activity. If there is nothing to catch up on, the tab shows a quiet illustration — everything is read.

Use the Catch up tab to stay on top of communication without manually scanning every task for new messages.

A task moved to Later is not appearing in the Later tab

Refresh the page. If the task still does not appear, check whether it has been deleted or completed by another member.

Task did not reappear on the Tasks tab on the set return date

Section titled “Task did not reappear on the Tasks tab on the set return date”

Verify the return date was saved correctly. Open the Later tab, find the task, and check or reset its return date.

There are unread comments or Client Portal messages on tasks assigned to you. Open the Catch up tab and read through the items to clear the indicator. If the dot reappears quickly, new messages are coming in regularly — check your notification settings.

The Later tab only shows tasks in “Later” status. If the task was set aside using a specific future date (rather than Later), it will appear on the Tasks tab when that date arrives. Use the search or filter function to locate it.
