How to use it
Section titled “How to use it”Annual review yield comparison
Section titled “Annual review yield comparison”- Period = last 12 months
- Sort by Effective yield desc
- Top members generate more revenue per hour worked — promotion candidates
- Bottom members may need rate review, training, or different assignment
Find where write-offs happen
Section titled “Find where write-offs happen”- Sort by Write-on/off asc (most negative first)
- Drill into top write-off members to see which clients drove it
- Distinguish: is the member discounting, or is the client a chronic write-down?
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Effective yield is much lower than the member’s bill rate
Section titled “Effective yield is much lower than the member’s bill rate”Effective yield is revenue / tracked hours (including non-billable). Bill rate is revenue / billable hours. A bench-heavy member has a high bill rate but low yield.
Member’s actual profit is negative but production profit is positive
Section titled “Member’s actual profit is negative but production profit is positive”Production was delivered (positive profit) but revenue was lower (write-off or unbilled), driving actual profit negative. See Billing Health for the cause.
