Switch between companies in Uku

  • Any member who belongs to two or more company accounts in Uku.
  • If you only belong to one company, the account selector is not shown.

The account selector appears in the filter bar at the top of major list views: Clients, Members, Invoices, and Tasks. Click the selector to open a dropdown listing all companies you belong to. Select a company to switch to its data.

When you switch accounts, all filters, columns, and data reload automatically for the selected company. Your selection is saved in the browser (localStorage), so the next time you open the same view, it defaults to the last company you used.

The selector follows this priority order to determine which company to show:

  1. An explicit account in the page URL (if present — for example, when following a link sent by a colleague).
  2. Your saved default company from your previous session.
  3. The first company in your list, if no preference has been saved.
  • You manage accounts for multiple firms and need to check clients or invoices for each.
  • You are a team member who works across a parent company and its subsidiary accounts.
  • A colleague shared a filtered view link — the URL contains the company context and switches automatically when you open it.

The selector only appears when you are a member of two or more companies. If you only have one company account, it is not shown. Contact your Company Owner if you believe you should have access to a second account and have not received an invitation yet.

Uku saves your last-used company per browser. If you are using a different browser or device, or your browser cleared local storage, the selector defaults to the first company in your list. Simply click the selector and choose the correct company — your selection will be remembered going forward.
