How to use the Audit Log

The Audit Log is a complete record of every change made in your Uku account — who changed what field, when, and what the previous value was. Use it to trace a specific change, verify when something was edited, or investigate a discrepancy on an invoice or task.
Who can do this
Section titled “Who can do this”- All team members can access the Audit Log. By default, you see only your own changes.
- Elite plan required to filter by other team members and to access up to 100 days of history.
- Company Admin or Company Owner role required to use the Elite-level filters (Member filter, extended date range).
- The Audit Log feature must be enabled for your company account.
How to access the Audit Log
Section titled “How to access the Audit Log”- Click your profile avatar in the application menu.
- Select Audit log from the dropdown.
- The Audit Log opens with today’s date and your own changes shown by default.
The Audit Log menu item only appears if the feature is enabled for at least one of your company accounts.
Reading the Audit Log table
Section titled “Reading the Audit Log table”Each row represents one change event and shows:
- When — timestamp of the change
- Type — what kind of record was changed (task, client, invoice, contract, etc.)
- Title — name of the changed record
- Who — the team member who made the change
- Action — whether it was an Add, Edit, Delete, or Activity
Filtering the Audit Log
Section titled “Filtering the Audit Log”- Date range — the time period to review. Non-Elite plans have a limited range; Elite supports up to 100 days.
- Company — for multi-company setups, select which company to view.
- Who — filter by team member. On non-Elite plans, locked to your own account. Elite Company Admins can select any member.
- Type — filter by entity type: task, client, project, invoice, contract, member, etc.
- Action — filter by change type: Add, Edit, Delete, or Activity.
- Status — filter by the change result status (ok, warning, error, failed).
- Task name — search for changes related to a specific task by name.
- Client ID / Project ID / Task ID — search for changes related to a specific entity by its ID.
Use the refresh button in the filter bar to reload results with your current filters applied.
Viewing change details
Section titled “Viewing change details”- Click any row to open the detail panel.
- The panel shows the full summary (when, type, title, who, action, status, associated client) and the diff view — each changed field with its old value and new value shown as “old value → new value”.
- Hover over any diff row to see the exact timestamp of that specific field change.
- Click the open button (external link icon) in the detail panel to navigate directly to the changed record.
The open button is not available for deleted records or entity types without a dedicated view.
Elite plan: extended Audit Log
Section titled “Elite plan: extended Audit Log”On non-Elite plans, the Audit Log is limited to your own changes and a restricted date range. Upgrading to the Elite plan unlocks:
- Team-wide visibility — Company Admins can filter by any team member
- 100 days of history — review changes going back over three months
- Full access to all filter combinations
Troubleshooting
Section titled “Troubleshooting”Audit Log does not appear in the profile menu
Section titled “Audit Log does not appear in the profile menu”The Audit Log feature must be enabled for at least one of your company accounts. Contact your Company Owner to enable it in company settings.
The Who filter is grayed out
Section titled “The Who filter is grayed out”You need both an Elite plan and a Company Admin or Company Owner role. Both conditions must be true simultaneously.
The date filter will not go further back
Section titled “The date filter will not go further back”Non-Elite plans have a restricted date range. Upgrade to the Elite plan for up to 100 days of history.
No results appear
Section titled “No results appear”The default view shows today’s changes for your own account. Expand the date range and clear other filters to see more results. Use the refresh button to reload after changing filters.
